Dry Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Chocolate Chips Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
  • Sea Salt to taste Sea Salt for Sprinkling A little goes a long way.

Instructions

Preparation

  • Start by melting 1 cup of unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until the butter turns golden brown and smells nutty, about 5-7 minutes.
  • Pour the browned butter into a large mixing bowl. Add 1 cup of brown sugar and 1/2 cup of granulated sugar. Stir until well combined.
  • Whisk in 2 large eggs and 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  • In another bowl, whisk together 2 1/2 cups of all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon of baking soda, and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. Gradually add this to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
  • Gently fold in 1 cup of toffee bits and 1/2 cup of chocolate chips using a spatula.

Baking

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, drop dough balls onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, leaving enough space between each cookie.
  • Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  • Sprinkle with sea salt while cookies are warm, then let them cool slightly before serving.

Notes

Experiment with flavor by adding chopped nuts or dried fruit. Store cookies in an airtight container for up to 5 days at room temperature or freeze for up to 3 months.
