For the Garlic Aioli

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise Base for the aioli.
  • 2 cloves fresh garlic, minced Provides garlicky flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Adds acidity.
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt For seasoning.
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper For seasoning.

For Assembly

  • 4 pieces brioche buns Soft and buttery for the sandwich.
  • 4 leaves romaine lettuce For crunch.
  • 1 large tomato, sliced For freshness.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Marinate the chicken breasts in buttermilk and Cajun seasoning for at least 30 minutes.
  • Mix flour, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.

Cooking

  • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  • Dredge marinated chicken in the flour mixture to coat evenly.
  • Fry coated chicken in hot oil for about 6-7 minutes per side, until golden brown and internal temperature reaches 165°F.

Making the Aioli

  • In a small bowl, mix mayonnaise, minced garlic, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper until smooth.

Assembly

  • Toast brioche buns lightly.
  • Spread garlic aioli on the bottom half of each bun.
  • Layer with lettuce, followed by the crispy chicken, and finish with sliced tomatoes and the top bun.

Notes
