  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or chopped rotisserie works great
  • 1 tube refrigerated crescent rolls (8-count)
  • 1 can cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz)
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • to taste chopped parsley (optional garnish) for a pop of color

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • In a medium bowl, mix the cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and half of the cheddar cheese.
  • On a baking sheet, unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles.
  • Lay the dough triangles in a large rectangle, overlapping them slightly.
  • Spoon the chicken mixture onto the center of the dough rectangle.
  • Fold the dough over the chicken filling, pinching to seal the edges.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.

Baking

  • Bake for 25 minutes or until golden brown and bubbly.
  • Let it cool for a few minutes, then garnish with chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

Serve with a fresh salad or steamed vegetables for balance. Enhance flavor with fresh herbs. Can be customized with various fillings.
