Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, diced onion, and minced garlic. Cook for about 5-7 minutes or until the beef is browned and the onion is translucent.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked beef mixture, cooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, milk or broth, 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until everything is well combined.
  • Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13-inch casserole dish and spread it evenly.
  • Sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese on top.
  • Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Once baked, remove the casserole from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
