  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon thyme
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Preparation

  • Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.

Cooking

  • In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  • Add the chicken breasts to the skillet and cook for about 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from skillet and set aside.
  • In the same skillet, add garlic and sliced mushrooms. Sauté for about 3-4 minutes until mushrooms are tender.
  • Pour in the chicken broth and heavy cream. Stir to combine and allow it to simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Mix in the thyme and return the chicken breasts to the skillet. Cook for another 2-3 minutes to heat through.
  • Garnish with freshly chopped parsley before serving.

Notes

To enhance flavor, add a splash of lemon juice for brightness. Customize the dish by adding different vegetables like spinach or bell peppers. Serve over pasta or rice for a complete meal experience.
