  • 0.25 teaspoon cinnamon Enhances flavor; optional alternative is pumpkin pie spice.
  • a pinch nutmeg Optional, can skip if preferred.
  • a pinch cloves Optional, depends on personal taste.
  • a pinch salt Helps balance sweetness.
  • 4 scoops vanilla ice cream Can substitute with dairy-free ice cream or yogurt.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Slice the peaches in half and remove the pit. Place them cut-side up in a baking dish.

Baking

  • Place a tablespoon of butter into each peach half.
  • Sprinkle each peach half with brown sugar and a dash of cinnamon.
  • Bake for about 20 minutes, until the peaches are fork-tender and bubbling.

Serving

  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly for a couple of minutes.
  • Serve each warm peach half in a bowl topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.

Notes

Consider adding crushed nuts or a drizzle of honey for added flavor and texture. This dish is best enjoyed fresh.
