  • 12 oz bacon (cut into 1-inch pieces)
  • 1/2 cup light brown sugar (packed) Provides sweetness.
  • 6 tbsp soy sauce Adds savory flavor.
  • 1/4 cup butter (melted) For richness.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the brown sugar, soy sauce, melted butter, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  • Add the trimmed green beans to the bowl and toss to coat them well in the sauce.

Cooking

  • Spread the coated green beans in a single layer on a baking sheet. Sprinkle the cooked bacon on top.
  • Roast in the preheated oven for 20 minutes, stirring halfway through, until beans are tender and caramelized.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes
