  • 1 pound carrots (about 450 grams), peeled and cut into sticks or rounds Fresh, vibrant orange carrots
  • 2 tablespoons honey (raw local honey preferred) Natural sweetness
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil For coating
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional) For additional flavor
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme or rosemary, finely chopped (optional) For garnish

Preparation

  • Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the carrots, olive oil, honey, salt, pepper, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and herbs. Toss until the carrots are well coated.

Cooking

  • Place the carrots in the air fryer basket in a single layer. You may need to cook them in batches depending on your air fryer size.
  • Cook for about 20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  • Once they are golden brown and crispy, remove the carrots and let them cool for a few minutes before serving.
