Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Grease and flour a 9x13 inch baking pan.

  • Beat in the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each; then add buttermilk and vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  • Divide the batter into three bowls; add pink, yellow, and blue food coloring to each.

Baking

  • Pour the colored batters into the prepared pan in swirls for a marbled effect.
  • Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
