Ingredients
  

For the Pancake Batter

  • 1 cup pancake mix
  • ¾ cup milk Use whole or low-fat milk.
  • 1 large egg For the pancake batter.
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil Can substitute with melted butter.
  • 3 tablespoons maple syrup For sweetness in the batter.

For the McGriddles Assembly

  • 4 large eggs Scrambled or cooked to preference.
  • 8 strips bacon Or 4 breakfast sausage patties.
  • 4 slices American cheese Can substitute with cheddar or pepper jack.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • In a bowl, mix 1 cup of pancake mix, ¾ cup milk, 1 egg, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, and 3 tablespoons maple syrup until smooth.

Cooking

  • Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Pour a small amount of batter to form 4 pancakes. Cook until bubbles form, then flip and cook until golden brown.
  • In the same skillet, cook the bacon strips or sausage patties until crispy.
  • In another skillet, scramble or cook the 4 large eggs to your liking.

Assembly

  • Layer a pancake, a slice of cheese, bacon or sausage, and another pancake. Repeat for the other sandwiches.

Notes

For flavor enhancement, add cinnamon or vanilla extract to the pancake batter. Customize by swapping in different cheeses or adding veggies to the eggs.
