Cake Base

  • 1 box vanilla cake mix Follow package instructions for mixing.
  • 3 cups water Required for cake mix preparation.

Jello Layer

  • 1 package colorful jello (various flavors) Prepare according to package instructions.

Toppings

  • 1 cup whipped topping Can be store-bought or homemade.
  • to taste sprinkles or colorful toppings Optional for decoration.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a large bowl, combine the cake mix with the required water according to the package instructions. Mix until just combined.

Baking

  • Pour the batter into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • Remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for about 10 minutes.

Poke and Soak

  • Use a fork to poke holes all over the cake, about 1 inch apart.
  • Dissolve the jello powder in 3 cups of hot water and pour it over the poke holes in the cake. Let it soak for at least 2 hours in the fridge.

Finish and Serve

  • After the cake has set, spread the whipped topping evenly over the top.
  • Sprinkle the colorful toppings on top before serving.

Notes

Customize the flavors and colors of the jello to match your event. This cake is best served chilled and can be made a day ahead for enhanced flavor.
