  • 1 lb Flank steak Lean protein
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes Halved
  • 8 oz Mozzarella balls Bite-sized
  • 1 cup Fresh basil Chopped

Dressing and Seasoning

  • 2 tbsp Balsamic glaze
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil For drizzling

Preparation

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.
  • Season the flank steak generously with salt and pepper, and drizzle with olive oil.

Cooking

  • Place the steak on the grill, cooking for about 6-7 minutes per side for medium-rare.
  • While the steak cooks, halve the cherry tomatoes and combine them with mozzarella balls and fresh basil in a bowl.
  • Drizzle balsamic glaze over the tomato mixture and toss gently.

Serving

  • Once the steak is done, remove it from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  • Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips.
  • Serve the sliced steak topped with the Caprese mixture.

Notes

For extra flavor, marinate the flank steak in olive oil, garlic, and herbs before grilling. Serve with crusty bread to soak up the delicious balsamic dressing.
