Aromatics & Vegetables

  • 2 medium Zucchini Slice them thin for even cooking. Don't let them get too soft; they should still have a bit of bite.
  • 1/2 medium Onion Sauté until translucent.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced for flavor.

Seasoning/Spice Blend

  • 1 teaspoon Dried Oregano Add while cooking for depth.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper Flakes For a bit of heat.

Liquids/Dairy

  • 1/4 cup Chicken Broth Use low-sodium for a healthier option.
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese Grate before serving for rich finish.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat for about 1-2 minutes.
  • Add 1/2 medium onion and 2 cloves of minced garlic, sauté for 3-4 minutes until the onion is translucent.

Cooking

  • Add 1 pound of ground turkey to the skillet and cook for 5-7 minutes, breaking it up until it's no longer pink.
  • Stir in 2 medium sliced zucchinis and cook for another 4-5 minutes, allowing them to soften but remain firm.
  • Sprinkle in 1 teaspoon dried oregano, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon black pepper, and 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes.
  • Pour in 1/4 cup of chicken broth to deglaze the pan, scraping up any stuck bits.
  • Top with 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese, cover, and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted.

Notes

Consider incorporating fresh herbs like basil or parsley just before serving. Customize by adding other veggies like spinach or bell peppers.
