Garnish

Preparation

  • Wash, peel, and cut the carrots into uniform sticks.
  • In a medium pan over medium heat, melt the butter, ensuring it does not burn.

Cooking

  • Add the carrot sticks to the melted butter in the pan and stir to coat.
  • Pour in the honey and mix well to cover the carrots.
  • Season with salt and pepper according to taste.
  • Cover the pan and cook for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally until the carrots are tender but still slightly crisp.

Finishing Touches

  • Remove from heat, sprinkle with chopped parsley and optional Parmesan cheese. Serve warm.

Notes

Enhance flavor with a pinch of cinnamon or a splash of orange juice. Serves about ½ cup per person as a side. Pairs well with roast chicken or grilled fish.
