Ingredients
  

Puff Pastry

  • 1 sheet 1 sheet of puff pastry Thawed if frozen

Filling

  • 1 cup 1 cup grated cheese (cheddar or jack) Use your preferred cheese
  • 1/2 cup 1/2 cup finely chopped jalapeños (fresh or pickled) Adjust quantity based on spice preference
  • 1 unit 1 egg (for egg wash) Beaten for brushing
  • to taste Salt to taste
  • to taste Pepper to taste

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Roll out the puff pastry on a floured surface and cut it into strips.
  • Sprinkle the grated cheese evenly over each strip.
  • Add the chopped jalapeños on top of the cheese and season with salt and pepper.
  • Twist each strip gently and place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Brush the twists with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  • Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown and puffed up.

Notes

Serve warm for the best cheesy texture and flavor. Pair with sour cream or salsa for dipping.
