Ingredients
  

For the Burgers

  • 1.5 pounds Ground chuck (80/20) The secret to a juicy burger due to its fat-to-meat ratio.

  • 6 buns Soft burger buns Lightly toasted to hold all ingredients.
  • 2 tablespoons Avocado oil Used for frying the patties.
  • to taste Kosher salt & Coarse black pepper Essential seasonings for the burger.

For the Baconnaise

  • 4 slices Bacon Half for the sauce, half for adding crunch.
  • 1/2 cup Mayonnaise Creamy base for baconnaise.
  • 2 tablespoons Ketchup Adds sweetness to the sauce.
  • 1 tablespoon Prepared Yellow Mustard For a tangy flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce Provides depth in flavor.
  • 1 teaspoon Apple Cider Vinegar Add acidity to the baconnaise.

For Toppings

  • 1 large White Onion Sliced paper-thin for sweetness and crunch.
  • to taste Red Pepper Flakes Optional for heat.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Cook the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and let it drain; reserve half for the sauce.
  • In a bowl, mix mayonnaise, ketchup, yellow mustard, Worcestershire sauce, apple cider vinegar, and chopped bacon to make the baconnaise.
  • Slice white onions thinly.

Cooking

  • Divide ground chuck into six equal portions and gently form them into patties with an indentation in the center.
  • Heat avocado oil in the skillet over medium-high heat. Add the patties and smash them down gently.
  • Season with salt and pepper and cook for 3-4 minutes until edges are crispy.
  • Flip patties and place a slice of cheese on each, cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until cheese melts.
  • Meanwhile, toast the buns cut-side down in a skillet until golden.

Serving

  • Assemble the burgers with baconnaise, slices of onion, and any additional toppings.

Notes

Customize toppings with options like avocado, jalapeƱos, or various sauces. For a spicier version, add jalapeƱos to the patties.
