Ingredients
  

For the Lemonade

  • 1 cup fresh lemon juice Freshly squeezed for the best flavor.
  • 1 cup sugar Adjust according to taste.
  • 4 cups water Divided into portions for boiling and serving.
  • 2 tablespoons dried lavender Use culinary-grade lavender.

  • as needed Lemon slices and lavender sprigs For garnish.

Preparation

  • In a small saucepan, combine 1 cup of water and the dried lavender. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Strain the lavender water into a pitcher, discarding the lavender flowers.
  • Add 1 cup of fresh lemon juice, 1 cup of sugar, and 3 cups of cold water to the pitcher. Stir well until the sugar is dissolved.
  • Taste and adjust the sweetness or lemon flavor as desired.
  • Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes before serving.
  • Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices and lavender sprigs.

Notes

Enhance flavor by adding a sprig of fresh mint. Keep leftover lemonade in the refrigerator for up to 5 days in an airtight container. Freeze in ice cube trays for up to 3 months for a chilled flavor boost.
