Ingredients
  

Main Protein

  • 500 g 500g chicken tenderloin or breast, cut into 4cm squares Use fresh chicken for juiciness.

Liquids/Dairy

  • 4 tbsp Greek or plain yogurt Full-fat essential for creaminess.

Seasoning/Spice Blend

  • 2 tbsp olive oil For cooking the chicken.
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic Use a fine grater for best result.

Aromatics & Vegetables

  • 1 large lemon Zest and juice both used.
  • 1 bunch fresh parsley Roughly chopped for garnish.

Optional Finishing Ingredients

  • optional mint or cilantro Can be used instead of parsley.

Preparation

  • In a mixing bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, grated garlic, olive oil, and salt. Stir until smooth.
  • Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they're well coated. Let it sit for 15 minutes.

Cooking

  • On medium heat, warm 2 tbsp of olive oil in a large skillet until it shimmers.
  • Carefully place the marinated chicken in the skillet. Sear for about 5-7 minutes on one side until golden brown, then flip and cook the other side for another 5-7 minutes until cooked through.
  • While the chicken cooks, whisk the remaining yogurt, garlic, lemon juice, tahini (if using), olive oil, and water in a bowl until desired consistency.
  • Sprinkle the cooked chicken with chopped parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Serving

  • Plate your chicken, drizzle with extra virgin olive oil, and enjoy with Lebanese bread.

Notes

Enhance flavor by marinating the chicken longer. Customize the yogurt sauce with herbs or spices as desired.
