Ingredients
Main Protein
- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts Cut into bite-sized pieces.
Starch/Pasta
- 8 oz penne, rigatoni, or fettuccine Cook according to package instructions until al dente.
Seasoning/Spice Blend
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 0.5 tsp crushed red pepper flakes Adjust based on heat preference.
Liquids/Dairy
- 1 cup heavy cream Stir continuously while cooking.
- 0.5 cup chicken broth
Aromatics & Vegetables
- 3 cloves minced garlic Add towards the end to avoid burning.
- 0.33 cup chopped sun-dried tomatoes
Optional Finishing Ingredients
- 2 tbsp olive oil For sautéing.
- 0.5 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese Adjust according to taste, can substitute with nutritional yeast.

Instructions
Preparation
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add chicken pieces, seasoning with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook for 5-7 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- Add minced garlic and sun-dried tomatoes. Sauté for 2-3 minutes until garlic is light golden.
- Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring well to combine and bring to a simmer for about 3 minutes.
- Add cooked pasta to skillet, mixing well with the sauce and chicken. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in freshly grated Parmesan cheese, letting it sit for a minute to melt.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve immediately.
Notes
For enhanced flavor, try adding mushrooms or spinach. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
