  • 4 pieces green onions, sliced Slice just before serving for freshness.

Seasoning Blend

  • 1/3 cup brown sugar For sweetness.
  • 1/3 cup soy sauce Use low-sodium if concerned about sodium intake.
  • 1/4 cup beef broth Can use vegetable broth for a vegetarian option.
  • 3 tablespoons hoisin sauce Adds depth to flavor.
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger For added warmth.
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper Adjust to taste.
  • a pinch red pepper flakes Optional for spice.

Thickening Agent

  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch To thicken the sauce.
  • 2 tablespoons water For mixing with cornstarch.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Brown the beef in a skillet over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart until fully cooked.
  • Add minced garlic and stir for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Combine Sauces

  • In a bowl, mix brown sugar, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, ginger, and black pepper. Pour over the beef and simmer for 3-4 minutes.

Cook and Combine

  • Cook the linguine according to package directions. Drain and rinse under warm water.
  • Add cooked linguine to the skillet and toss to coat with the sauce. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.

Thicken Sauce

  • Mix cornstarch with water and add to the skillet. Stir continuously for 1 minute until sauce thickens.

Serve

  • Remove from heat and serve hot, garnished with sliced green onions.

Notes

For enhanced flavor, consider marinating the beef for 30 minutes before cooking. Customize with your favorite vegetables or additional spices.
