Preparation

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat with the olive oil.
  • Add the bite-sized chicken pieces to the pan and cook for about 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown.
  • Sprinkle salt and pepper over the chicken while it’s cooking.
  • Once the chicken is cooked, add the uncooked penne pasta to the pan and stir to combine.
  • Pour in the honey BBQ sauce and enough water to cover the pasta and chicken. Bring to a light simmer.
  • Simmer for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally until the pasta is tender and the sauce has thickened.
  • Remove from heat, garnish with chopped parsley, and serve directly from the pan.

Notes

Customization options include adding vegetables like onions, bell peppers, or using different proteins. For added flavor, smoked paprika or garlic can be included during cooking.
