  • 4 tablespoons Unsalted butter Melted before mixing.
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil Drizzle over the fish for added moisture.
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic powder Essential for flavor.
  • 0.75 teaspoon Kosher salt Adjust based on dietary preferences.
  • 0.5 teaspoon Black pepper Use freshly ground for best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley Chopped for garnish.
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice Fresh for best flavor.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • In a bowl, combine grated parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs, melted butter, olive oil, garlic powder, kosher salt, and black pepper. Mix until everything is coated and crumbly.
  • Place the tilapia fillets on a lined baking sheet, ensuring they are spaced apart.
  • Drizzle the tilapia with lemon juice and sprinkle chopped parsley on top.

Baking

  • Spoon the breadcrumb mixture generously over each fillet, pressing down slightly to ensure it adheres.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the fish flakes easily.
  • Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes. Serve warm with additional parsley and lemon wedges.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to maintain crispiness. Freezing is also an option, store uncooked tilapia for up to 2 months.
