  • 1 12-inch 12-inch crusty baguette freshly baked
  • 6-8 slices thin slices prosciutto about 3 ounces / 85 grams
  • 6 ounces brie cheese sliced or torn (170 grams)
  • 2-3 tablespoons honey preferably raw or wildflower
  • 1 cup fresh arugula or baby spinach about 30 grams, optional
  • 1-2 tablespoons butter or olive oil for toasting, optional
  • 1 pinch freshly ground black pepper small pinch
  • thinly sliced green apples or pears optional for added sweetness

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Slice the baguette in half lengthwise.
  • If desired, spread butter or olive oil on the inside of the baguette and toast it lightly in a pan or on a grill.
  • Layer the prosciutto evenly on one side of the baguette.
  • Place the sliced or torn brie cheese on top of the prosciutto.
  • Drizzle honey over the cheese generously.
  • Add fresh arugula or baby spinach for a pop of color and crunch, if using.
  • Season with a small pinch of freshly ground black pepper.
  • Close the baguette, pressing it down gently, and slice it into manageable portions.

Notes

Drizzle extra honey on top right before serving for added sweetness. Customize by adding nuts or berries for extra flavors and textures. Serve it fresh on the day you make it for the best taste and texture.
