  • 1 small green bell pepper (diced)
  • 230 g brown mushrooms (minced) Adds umami and moisture.

Liquids/Dairy

  • 240 ml beef broth Use to deglaze the pan for enhanced flavors.
  • 225 g provolone cheese (chopped or shredded) Let it melt completely for a creamy texture.

Starch/Pasta

  • 6 pieces brioche hamburger buns Lightly toast to prevent sogginess.

Seasoning/Spice Blend

  • 30 g butter For sautéing the vegetables.
  • 30 g ketchup Adds sweetness to balance the flavors.

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Start by heating a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  • Add the lean ground beef and cook for about 5-7 minutes until brown, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon.
  • Add 30g of butter, diced onion, and diced bell pepper to the pan. Sauté for 5 minutes until softened.
  • Stir in minced brown mushrooms and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  • Pour in beef broth, scraping the bottom of the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  • Mix in the ketchup, stirring well to combine.
  • Stir in provolone cheese and allow it to melt for 2-3 minutes.
  • Serve the mix on lightly toasted brioche buns.

Notes

Serve with crispy potato chips or a salad. Pair with cold beer for a perfect meal experience.
