  • 2 pcs Onions Quarter the onions.
  • 4 cloves Garlic Mince the garlic; consider sautéing briefly for enhanced flavor.

Optional Ingredients

  • 1 pcs Onion soup mix Mix with other liquids.

Preparation

  • Start by placing your slow cooker on the counter. Make sure it’s clean and ready for action.
  • Rub salt and pepper generously all over the chuck roast.
  • In a hot skillet, sear the roast for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned.

Cooking

  • Place the seared roast into the slow cooker, then surround it with baby potatoes, carrots, onions, and garlic.
  • In a bowl, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, onion soup mix, and thyme. Pour this over the roast and vegetables.
  • Cover and set your slow cooker to low for 7-8 hours.
  • After cooking, ensure the roast is tender and adds fresh herbs for an extra touch before serving.

Serving

  • Arrange the roast on a large platter, surrounded by vegetables.
  • Serve with warm bread to soak up the flavorful juices.

Notes
