Ingredients
  

Main Protein

  • 4 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts Trim any excess fat. Chicken thighs can be used as an alternative.

Liquids/Dairy

  • 1/2 cup honey Acts as the sweetener.
  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard Adds tang and depth.
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce Combines with honey and mustard to make a marinade.
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced Fresh garlic enhances the flavor.

Seasoning

  • Salt and pepper to taste Used for seasoning the chicken.

Optional Finishing Ingredients

  • to taste chopped parsley For garnish before serving.

Preparation

  • Spray the inside of your slow cooker with cooking spray or line it with a slow cooker liner.

Making the Sauce

  • In a bowl, whisk together honey, Dijon mustard, soy sauce, and minced garlic.

Cooking the Chicken

  • Place the chicken breasts in the slow cooker and pour the honey mustard mixture evenly over them.
  • Season with salt and pepper to taste. Cover and cook on low for 6 hours.
  • The chicken is done when it is tender and easily shreds with a fork.

(Optional) Shredding

  • If preferred, shred the chicken with two forks and stir it back into the sauce.

Serving

  • Sprinkle chopped parsley over the top before serving for a fresh touch.

Notes

Marinate the chicken for 30 minutes before cooking for enhanced flavor. Serve leftovers on sandwich rolls for a tasty lunch option.
