  • 3 large jalapeños, roasted Roasted for enhanced flavor.
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened Make sure it's at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • 1/4 cup BBQ sauce Can use your favorite brand.
  • 1/2 cup sour cream Adds creaminess to the dip.
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tbsp fresh lime juice For brightness and acidity.
  • 1/2 tsp salt Adjust to taste.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Wash and slice the jalapeños in half, removing seeds if you prefer less heat.
  • Place the jalapeños on a baking sheet and roast them in the oven for about 15 minutes until they are slightly charred and tender.

Mixing

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, BBQ sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, lime juice, and salt and pepper.
  • Add the roasted jalapeños to the mixture and fold everything together until well combined.

Serving

  • Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and refrigerate for at least 10 minutes to let flavors meld.
  • Serve with tortilla chips or fresh vegetables.

Notes

Enhance flavor with cumin or customize with shredded cheese or chopped cilantro. For a heartier dish, serve warm with toasted bread.
