  • 1 lb salmon fillet Fresh or high-quality frozen; ensure it is thawed and patted dry before seasoning.

Liquids/Dairy

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Extra virgin for best flavor.
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice Brightens the dish.

Seasoning/Spice Blend

  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon salt Avoid adding too much salt as it can overpower the dish.

Aromatics & Vegetables

  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped For garnish.

Serving Accompaniment

  • lemon wedges For serving.

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Place the salmon fillet on a baking dish. Drizzle olive oil and lemon juice over it, coating evenly.
  • Sprinkle the salmon with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, black pepper, and salt. Rub the spices into the fish.

Cooking

  • Put the salmon in the oven and bake for about 15-20 minutes, or until it flakes easily with a fork.
  • Once done, remove the salmon and sprinkle chopped parsley on top.

Serving

  • Serve your baked salmon with lemon wedges on the side.

Notes

Enhance flavor by marinating the salmon for 30 minutes before baking. Customize the spices to fit your taste preferences.
