  • 1 lb Beef porchetta Use lean beef for better texture
  • 3 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 2 sprigs Rosemary Fresh
  • 1 tsp Fennel Ground
  • 1 tsp Black pepper Freshly ground for flavor
  • 1 medium Yellow onions Sliced
  • 2 tbsp Olive oil For searing
  • 2 tbsp Unsalted butter For toasting the bread

Cheese Blend

  • 4 oz Provolone cheese Sliced
  • 4 oz Fontina cheese Sliced
  • 4 oz Gruyère cheese Sliced
  • 4 oz Mozzarella cheese Sliced

Condiments & Bread

  • 2 tbsp Garlic aioli For spreading
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard mayo blend For layering
  • 4 slices Sturdy bread Such as ciabatta or sourdough

Instructions
 

Preparation

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Season the beef porchetta with garlic, rosemary, fennel, and black pepper.
  • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and sear the beef on all sides until browned.
  • Add sliced yellow onions and cook until softer, about 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let the porchetta rest for 10 minutes before slicing thinly.

Assembly and Cooking

  • Layer the sliced porchetta and combined cheeses onto slices of sturdy bread.
  • Spread garlic aioli and Dijon mustard mayo blend between the layers of cheese and meat.
  • Top with another slice of bread and butter the outside.
  • Grill or toast the sandwich in a skillet until golden and the cheese melts, about 4-5 minutes per side.
  • Slice and serve hot, enjoying the ooey-gooey goodness!

Notes

Serve sandwiches cut in half for a beautiful reveal of the melty filling. Pair with crispy fries or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
